BZN (short for Band Zonder Naam, meaning Band Without A Name) hails from Volendam (The Netherlands). From 1977 to 1998 they had no less than a non-stop string of 32 top 10 albums with their MOR 'paling-sound' (Dutch for eel-sound, as the city of Volendam is famous for their eel fishermen), fronted by lead singers Jan Keizer and Annie Schilder.
The legendary Dutch pop group Earth And Fire, with foxy singer Jerney Kaagman and studio wizards Chris and Gerard Koerts, rose to fame in the early 1970s with a non-stop string of top 10 singles including “Seasons”, “Memories“ and “Maybe Tomorrow, Maybe Tonight“.
The Tielman Brothers are the founders of the Dutch rock & roll scene. Their amazing live performances didn't go unnoticed in the rest of Europe, and soon they were touring Germany, Belgium and many other countries. All the singles from their heydays are featured on this 2LP set.
Like many other symphonic rock bands, Kayak was never a singles-driven band. Their albums were all pieces of art in their own rights. Even so, the band managed to score a number of top 20 hits in the 1970's including “Lyrics”, “Mammoth“ and “Starlight Dancer“.
