Echobelly, Chick Corea, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Biohazard, Johnny Winter, The Allman Brothers Band, Das EFX, Terry Riley and Aphrodite's Child
First of all we wish you all the best for 2019. A new year of wonderful music and some incredible releases. Time to start off with a great record from the Britpop Era, Echobelly's second album On. Memorable songs and hooks, which nest into your head, that's the power of the band. On is available as a first pressing of 750 individually numbered copies on orange coloured vinyl. Jazz pianist Chick Corea's wonderful jazz record Tones for Joan's Bones is his first record as a leader of a hard bop group. He had played piano for such jazz greats as Miles Davis, before he started working as a leader of his own groups. Mahavishnu Orchestra, one of the keystone bands of the jazz-rock fusion movement, released their album Visions of the Emerald Beyond in 1975. This album was a magnificent musical work of virtuosity at its highest level and proved that the 2nd Mahavishnu Orchestra line-up was as good as the original one.
Biohazard State of the World Address was their breakout from the underground into mainstream. Their musical style hasn't changed that much from the predecessors. The album is available as a limited edition of 1.000 individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl. Still Alive and Well was the long-awaited return album by the American blues rock guitarist Johnny Winter. It's a masterpiece of commanding guitar work, raw vocals, and with the perfect song selection a record every blues rock fan should own. The Allman Brothers Band's tenth studio album Shades of Two Worlds is a work where the group went back to their music improvisations. ”Nobody Knows” is the standout track, with a jazzy jam with instrumental swells, extensive drum tracks, and dramatic lead vocals that recall the band's salad days.
The American hip hop duo Das EFX released their second album Straight Up Sewaside in 1993. The chemistry between Drayz and Skoob is present in their choice of wordplay. This release is available as a limited edition of 1.000 individually numbered copies on coloured (solid orange & gold mixed) vinyl. In C is a musical piece by the composer and performing musician Terry Riley. As one of the first minimalist compositions and a highlight of this genre it's a response to the modern music that dominated the scene in 1968. In C's 50th anniversary is available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on transparent vinyl. Aphrodite's Child's last album 666 is a masterpiece and their most critically acclaimed album. It took more than a year to finish and by the time it was released, in 1972, the band had already split up. 666 is available as a limited first pressing of 2.000 individually numbered copies on transparent red vinyl.

The American hip hop duo Das EFX released their second album Straight Up Sewaside in 1993. Their rapid-fire vocals are, just like on their debut Dead Serious, innovative and drained in samples and beats.
The Allman Brothers Band was one of America's greatest Southern rock bands. Shades of Two Worlds, their tenth studio album, is a work where the group went back to their music improvisations. They largely infused hints of the blues, jazz, and country into their music.
The Britpop era brought the world a bunch of great records, including Echobelly's second album On. They recorded some melodic and intense alternative guitar rock for this record, one of the better Britpop albums circulating in the mid-90s, often compared to Blondie and known for their influences from The Smiths.
