Sugar Ray became widely known through their infectious pop single “Fly”, and a consequent lighter musical direction displayed by songs like “Every Morning”, “Someday”, and “When It's Over”. This debut album titled Lemonade and Brownies was originally released in 1995 and showcases Sugar Ray in their most youthful and idealistic phase. It's a competent set of alternative funk and metal, with a few punk anthems to boot.
Mono was an English trip hop duo that scored a hit in 1996 with their first single “Life In Mono”. Three singles followed before releasing their debut album Formica Blues. The sound of the album is described as to wallow in the sound of television and film theme tunes of the Sixties and Seventies, but both to embellish and underpin it with jazzy breakbeats and Massive Attack synthy atmospheres.
Eddie Marshall's debut album Dance Of The Sun. The album was originally released in 1977 by Timeless Muse, a partnership between Timeless Records and Muse Records. Eddie Marshall was an American jazz drummer who developed his percussion style under the influence of Max Roach and Art Blakey. Dance Of The Sun features Manny Boyd, Bobby Hutcherson, George Cables and James Leary.
Synthesizer Greatest was a series of compilations containing digitally synthesized tracks by Dutch composer Ed Starink, released on the ARCADE label. Most tracks were based on originals by well-known artists, but the compilations also included some of Ed Starink's own compositions.
Gene Clark was an American singer-songwriter and responsible for The Byrds' greatest hits, including “I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better”, “She Don't Care About Time”, “Eight Miles High” and “Set You Free This Time”. After making music in several group formations furthermore with The Gosdin Brothers, Doug Dillard, Carla Olson and recording several albums with members of The Byrds over the years, Clark embarked on a solo career that encompassed heavily orchestrated treasures like “No Other” and folk-focused “White Light”. Through it all and in every setting, Clark's clear and true vocals, his poetic turns of phrase, and his skill at weaving melancholy melodies never wavered. His body of work is impressive and, long after his passing in 1991, has remained influential to each new generation of pop artists who followed in his wake.
To honour his legacy and the impressive repertoire he left behind, Music On Vinyl proudly presents the new Collected compilation album in collaboration with Universal Music. Collected is a compilation featuring Gene Clark's greatest songs and is a career-spanning 2LP including tracks by The Byrds and with The Gosdin Brothers, Carla Olson and other collaborations.

West Side Story is the recording of the 1957 Broadway production of the same-titled musical. All music is composed by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics written by Stephen Sondheim. The musical premiered in 1957 and was performed 732 times before the cast went on tour. West Side Story was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Musical in 1958. In 1961, the film West Side Story was released, which was based on the same-titled musical. The success of the movie (winning multiple Grammy Awards) bolstered the popularity of the musical even more.
The Dutch eurodance group 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor was founded in 1990 when the two brothers Bobby and Martin Boer started experimenting with music in a small bedroom in their parental apartment on the 4th floor. Together with rapper Da Smooth Baron MC and singer Peggy “The Duchess” they released their first single “Can't Help Myself” that same year, which became in international hit in 1991. After that it was quiet for a while, but in 1993 the brothers were back and delivered several international hits throughout the following years: “Never Alone” with D-Rock (René Philips) and Des'Ray (Desirée Manders), “Dreams” and “Let Me Be Free”.
