Time flies and it's already Friday again, which means we have another round of releases that are now in stores:
First, our Decades Collected compilations with the best of each decade - Sixties Collected is available as a limited edition of 2000 copies on translucent green coloured vinyl, Seventies Collected is available as a limited edition of 2000 copies on translucent red coloured vinyl, Eighties Collected is available as a limited edition of 2000 copies on translucent magenta coloured vinyl. Next is La Bouche's Greatest Hits, available as a limited edition 500 copies on gold coloured vinyl. Heideroosjes' Choice For A Lost Generation?! is available as a limited edition of 1500 copies on translucent red coloured vinyl. Met Liefde by André Hazes is available as a limited edition of 1000 copies on green coloured vinyl. Jumpin' In The Night by The Flamin' Groovies is available on black vinyl.
Finally, The new Collected album of The Mission is available as a limited edition of 3 LP's. This compilation is a career-spanning 2LP featuring all their hit singles. The limited edition 3LP features a third bonus LP with six legendary 12" remixes and only a strict amount of 3500 copies are made available. Once the limited edition is sold out, this release will be available as a regular 2LP edition.
The Collected series celebrates the legacy of an artist or band and collects the very best of their career. That is why we'd like to elaborate on this iconic band from the UK:
- The band was founded by Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams, who both also played in The Sisters Of Mercy;
- Hussey grew up in a Mormon household;
- The second studio album by The Mission, Children, was produced by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones;
- Craig Adams even joined The Cult for a short period of time. He took part in the recordings of the self-titled 'Cult' album.
- In 2020, Wayne Hussey started a new project called Remission International. He 'dusted off' the track “Tower Of Strength” and covered the song as a 'pandemic anthem' together with Depeche Mode's Martin Gore, The Cure's Lol Tolhurst, The Smith's Andy Rourke, Midge Ure, Budgie of Siouxsie and The Banshees and Bauhaus drummer Kevin Haskins.
Het in 1982 uitgebrachte album Met Liefde bereikt in de Nederlandse Album Top 100 de 2e plaats. De single “Diep In Mijn Hart” komt op nummer 1 in de Nationale Hitparadenummer, en ook “Amor, Amor, Amor” (als vertaling van het originele Spaanse nummer van Camilo Blanes Cortés) belandt hoog in de charts.

Producer Frank Farian, the man behind Boney M and Milli Vanilli, rolled out his '90s equivalent, La Bouche, in 1995. The German based Eurodance duo La Bouche featured vocalist Melanie Thornton and rapper Lane McCray. They gained international success in 1995 when the hit single “Be My Lover” reached the top of the charts.
