The final drop of the The Silverchair Collection is now available for pre-order, which includes the 1999 album Neon Ballroom and the accompanying three EPs Ana's Song (Open Fire), Anthem For The Year 2000 and Miss You Love.
Silverchair is arguably one of the most successful Australian bands of all time. With five albums spanning 12 years, all of which crashed into the charts at No 1, 8 million international sales and 21 ARIA wins, they certainly have the statistics to compete. To celebrate their legacy, Music On Vinyl presents the Silverchair Collection. After releasing their debut album Frogstomp and sophomore album Freak Show, it is now time for the finaldrop, which focuses on the 1999 album Neon Ballroom.
Neon Ballroom is the third studio album by Australian post-grunge band Silverchair and was released in 1999. On this album the band is considered to have reached their maturity, both literally and musically. When Silverchair released their first album, the band members were just 15 years old. By the time they recorded Neon Ballroom they reached the age of 20. The album features the three singles, "Miss You Love", "Ana's Song (Open Fire)" and "Anthem For The Year 2000", which were all seperately released as EPs. All three EPs are now available on coloured vinyl.
The first 100 individually numbered copies of each Neon Ballroom, Miss You Love, Ana's Song (Open Fire) and Anthem For The Year 2000 are exclusively available on Sound Factory. The first 100 copies of the three EPs also contain a unique set of guitar picks based on the Neon Ballroom artwork. After these first copies are sold, you'll receive a random numbered copy.
Both Neon Ballroom and the three EPs are now available for pre-order via Sound Factory.

Neon Ballroom is the third studio album by Australian post-grunge band Silverchair and was released in 1999. On this album the band is considered to have reached their maturity, both literally as musically. Fusing heavy rock with orchestral flourishes and synthetic touches with powerfully emotional lyrics, the dark and haunting Neon Ballroom was universally acclaimed as a huge creative leap for John and his bandmates.
“Miss You Love” is the third and last single taken from Silverchair's third album Neon Ballroom. The song was written when Daniel Johns was suffering from severe depression. In an interview with Kerrang! magazine, Johns said that the song was "about not being able to establish a relationship with anyone, not being able to experience love outside of family".
"Ana's Song (Open Fire)" was releases in May 1999 as the second single from Neon Ballroom, Silverchair's third album. The song is about lead vocalist Daniel Johns' struggle with anorexia nervosa, Ana is the nickname given to it by people affected.
"Anthem For The Year 2000" is the first single taken from Silverchair's third album Neon Ballroom. The song reached #3 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, becoming the band's sixth top-ten single. It also reached the top ten in New Zealand, on Canada's RPM Rock Report, and on the UK Rock Chart.
