There's a new queen in town. The Crown Season 3 will feature an entirely new cast of acclaimed actors taking over the very famous royal roles. The music for season three is composed by Martin Phipps, who has previously composed soundtracks for Black Mirror and Peaky Blinders. This neo-minimalistic score makes use of different tempos, string-based undertones and brass chorus lines.
Room Noises is the debut album by the American indie rock/pop band Eisley. The album spawned three singles: "Memories", "Telescope Eyes", and "I Wasn't Prepared". It was placed at number 9 among Paste magazine's top albums of 2005.
Oops! Wrong Planet is the third studio album by Todd Rundgren's rock band Utopia. This pop-oriented album focuses on short songs in the style of the Beatles and other harmonic bands. Their prog-rock epics are gone and the band was evolving to a more commercial rock band.
Adventures in Utopia is the fourth studio album by Todd Rundgren's band Utopia. The album was a step into the new-wave of the '80s, combined with their rock sound. Their first total group effort where each member had a say and owned their part. The least one can say this is a solid reminder and a worth measure of Rundgren genius.
Merging Nu-Metal grooves with Funk, Rock and Hip Hop, Incubus carved their own musical niche and earned a huge following by tireless touring and releasing ever-improving quality albums. Light Grenades [2006] shows the growth of a band that has stayed true to their musical roots but at the same time added incredible musical prowess and variation in their songs, as well as increasingly serious lyrical content.
Metal Church's 4th album is often cited as their best. Breaking through in the-mid eighties within a blossoming Thrash Metal scene, these guys from Seattle stuck to their guns while other bands were polishing their sound to meet popular demand. The Human Factor (1991) excels in chugging riffs, melodic breaks, pulsing beats and furious vocals - a true Thrash classic.
As one of the most influential rock groups in the late eighties, Living Colour proved that blending Hard Rock with Funk, Soul, Rap, and Punk can be a very successful undertaking. Their debut Vivid (1988) took some time to build up steam but eventually turned heads worldwide as the sheer quality of this album inevitably rose to the surface. Vivid spawned the hits "Glamour Boys" featuring Mick Jagger on backing vocals, and "Cult Of Personality", which was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1989. The single "Funny Vibe" features Chuck D and Flavor Flav from Public Enemy.
The Two Popes is an intimate story of one of the most dramatic transitions of power in 2000 years. Frustrated with the direction of the church, Cardinal Bergoglio (Jonathan Pryce) requests permission to retire in 2012 from Pope Benedict XVI (Anthony Hopkins). Bryce Dessner of The National composed the score to the movie. The OST features a total of 21 arrangements, which also contains contributions by Tinariwen and Mercedes Sosa.
