Slowdive, Philip Glass, Sugarhill Gang, Fuktronic, Golden Earring, and Batmobile.
This Saturday we're celebrating the first part of Record Store Day with a bundle of fantastic releases. RSD Drop 1 includes the self-titled Slowdive EP, which received praise from music critics and was actually their original demo. Besides we have the 12 track journey Fuktronic, the brainchild of Jimmy Urine (Mindless Self Indulgence ), and Serj Tankian (System Of A Down). Another great title is The Essential, a magnificent collection of music by one of the most important composer of our time, Philip Glass. Hip Hop trio Sugarhill Gang is known for their massive 1979 hit "Rapper's Delight", which is included in the original 7-inch version as a bonus track on their self-titled album. The 7-inch Big Bat A-Go-Go contains two energetic reworked tracks by Batmobile and will be followed by a 10-inch later this year on MOV. Last but not least we have a special never released before 7-inch of Radar Love by the Golden Earring, containing the original UK single version and the Moontan LP version of this hit.
Take a look at this page for a complete overview of all our RSD 2020 releases.

Through his operas, his symphonies, his compositions for his own ensemble, and his wide-ranging collaborations with artists ranging from Twyla Tharp to Allen Ginsberg, Woody Allen to David Bowie, Philip Glass has had an extraordinary and unprecedented impact upon the musical and intellectual life of his times.
Slowdive was formed by Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell in October 1989. A self-titled EP was released in November 1990 and received praise from music critics. Slowdive was actually their original demo; the band had preferred the older recordings after feeling disillusioned with their studio craft.
