Recorded in Brugge on 18th March 1977, “Fightin' Windmills” and “Eight Miles High” are fascinating alternatives to the versions that ended up on the original Live album, while “I Need Love” has been rarely performed by the band back in the days - and luckily was caught on tape on that particular night in Belgium.
Doop are a dance music production duo from the Netherlands formed by Ferry Ridderhof and Peter Garnefski (Ferry & Garnefski), who have also recorded under the name Hocus Pocus and Peplab. They were best known for their eponymous single, “Doop”, which reached #1 in the UK and stayed there for three weeks.
The Imperials album never materialized, making this 12” a sought-after gem featuring Prince and André's (uncredited) studio endeavours. The B-side contains another track, “I Just Wanna Be Your Lovin' Man”, which originates from their 94 East Sessions.
“Restless” was the debut single by the Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. Restless contains three versions of the song; the album version, classical version and the single version. In addition, this 12” also contains the track “Pearls Of Light”.
Australian post-grunge band Silverchair released their full-length debut album Frogstomp in 1994 when the band members were only 15 years of age. In support of the album, Silverchair played at the legendary live music venue Cabaret Metro, in Chicago. This venue was known to host many big names in the grunge and alternative rock scene.
“Black Night” was the second single of Stratovarius' debut album Fright Night. Fright Night is considered by several critics as an important element of their discography.
“Future Shock” was the first single of Stratovarius debut album Fright Night. The band was formed in 1982 and released a total of fifteen studio albums. Fright Night is considered by several critics as an important element of their discography.
