Now Here is Nowhere is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Secret Machines. It was originally released on May 18, 2004.
The band's epic, drawn out melodies are reminiscent of classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, with influences from krautrock and shoegaze. Now Here is Nowhere received widespread critical acclaim, with many music critics rating the album a minimum of 4 out of 5 stars. The album holds a 80/100 rating on Metacritic.
Needle Paw is the first solo album by Nai Palm, the lead singer and composer of R&B future soul outfit Hiatus Kaiyote. A two-time Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and musician from Melbourne, Australia, Nai Palm is a composer, instrumentalist, producer, vocalist and poet who approaches all of these self-taught disciplines with an intuitive, infectious grace. This gift has sent her and her band Hiatus Kaiyote on a journey to sculpt songs that have been received and treasured across the globe. Their success set the stage for Nai's first solo effort.
Man of Steel is the soundtrack to the film of the same name composed by Hans Zimmer. The album rose to #4 on iTunes during the first week of its release and opened at number 9 on the Billboard 200. Hans Zimmer has crafted an entirely new set of themes for Man of Steel, which is grittier and darker than any of its predecessor.
It was the 1986 album Blind Before I Stop on which Meat Loaf fully embraced the Eighties sound. The album included four singles - “Rock 'n Roll Mercenaries” (with John Parr), “Blind Before I Stop”, “Getting Away With Murder” and “Special Girl”.
