Let's celebrate
To tie in with the bands 50th anniversary in 2017, Ten Years After have recorded a new studio album; A Sting In The Tale. They are touring throughout the year to promote this new album and to celebrate their anniversary. First pressing of this will be on gold vinyl.
Jacqueline Govaert is back with her brand new solo album, Lighthearted Years, which was recorded in Los Angeles. The album contains 11 songs, which she describes as "the contrast between the lighthearted teenage years and the life now, in the world now".
My Feeling For The Blues is a one-of-a-kind blues album by the great Freddie King. One of the top blues albums which was getting harder to find. Do yourself a favor and make sure you grab this one!
The next album is a nice mix of hard rock, progressive rock and blues rock. This lone Pluto LP is easy to recommend for those who like the early 70's hard rock bands.
We went all the way with the next one, but we left our hat on... For the first time in 20 years, the soundtrack of the cult movie The Full Monty is now available on vinyl. The package includes a 4 page booklet with pics and credits and a copy of the original movie poster. The first pressing of 1.500 numbered copies is pressed on blue vinyl.
And the last three for this week: Dutch legends Nits who have embarked on an extensive tour again. This also calls for a celebration.
These classic albums are now available as special tour editions:
- In The Dutch Mountains Limited edition 500 numbered copies on red vinyl
- Urk Limited edition 500 numbered copies on transparent vinyl
- Hotel Europa Limited edition of 500 numbered copies on transparent blue vinyl

The MOV Crew
The Nits are a Dutch art-pop-rock group, founded in 1974 in Amsterdam. Their musical style has varied over the years, as has their line-up, but the core members are lead singer and lyricist Henk Hofstede, Robert-Jan Stips on keyboards (who worked with Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, The Golden Earring) and Rob Kloet on drums.
Fifty years after the release of their eponymous debut album in 1967; Ten Years After returned with A Sting In The Tale. Original members Ric Lee & Chick Churchill, complemented by Colin Hodgkinson on bass and multi-award-winning guitarist/vocalist Marcus Bonfanti, were keen to record a studio album that showcased the new lineup that had been touring the world as Ten Years After to great critical acclaim. A Sting In The Tale was engineered and produced by Bonfanti at his 'Cricklewood Green' Studios in Cricklewood, North London.
