Including Frank Sinatra, Pentangle, Fastway, Say Anything, Game Of Thrones and Barney Wilen.
This week we're celebrating the legacy of an icon with the career-spanning overview Frank Sinatra Collected on gold coloured vinyl. This 2LP is in stores now, just like the soundtrack to the 1986 heavy metal film Trick Or Treat by Fastway. It was the band's final album in their original line-up and is now in stores on flaming coloured vinyl, just in time for Halloween!
Say Anything, the rock band founded by Max Bemis, released In Defense Of The Genre back in 2007. The album features 23 individual guest appearances and is available on smoke coloured vinyl.
Additional titles that are now in stores are Ramin Djawadi's score to the seventh season of Game Of Thrones, available on smoke coloured vinyl; Pentangle's Basket Of Light on yellow & orange marbled vinyl, which opens with their signature song “Light Flight”; French Story by Barney Wilen with the Mal Waldron Trio, for the first time available as a 2LP set on yellow coloured vinyl, including the tracks “No Problem” and “Quiet Temple”.
In 2000, Max Bernis formed the American rock band Say Anything together with some friends. Up until 2018, when the band went on a hiatus, they released eight studio albums. In 2007 they released their third studio album In Defense of the Genre. Bernis mentioned on the album that “musically, it's different, more mature and somewhat more cohesive and poppy, but darker in a whole different way”.
Trick Or Treat is the 1986 American horror film by De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, starring Marc Price and Tony Fields. The score is by Fastway, a British heavy metal band formed by Motörhead guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke, who also co-produced the album. The score entered the Billboard 200, where it remained for eleven months.

Frank Sinatra was one of the greatest performers and first musical superstar of the last century. His voice, timing and performance created the standards for vocalists ever since. On Frank Sinatra Collected, his career and musical legacy is celebrated on 2 LPs, spanning over 5 decades. Not just his most famous songs, but also some of his best album tracks and collaborations with Count Basie, Quincy Jones and his daughter Nancy, all showcasing the versatile artist he was.
French tenor saxophonist and jazz composer Barney Wilen is best known for his contributions to soundtracks and has worked amongst jazz giants such as Miles Davis, Art Blakey and Thelonious Monk. In 1989, he recorded French Story at Studio 44 in The Netherlands together with the Mal Waldron trio, consisting of the jazz pianist Mal Waldron, Stafford James on bass and Eddie Moore on drums. They recorded eight jazz compositions from classic French movies.
The seventh and penultimate season of the HBO fantasy drama series Game Of Thrones premiered in 2017. The music for this seventh season was composed by Ramin Djawadi, just like the previous six seasons. The albums opens with a new version of the well-known main title. Djawadi is best known for his scores for Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Prison Break and Westworld amongst many others. For his work for Game Of Thrones, he has won two consecutive Emmy Awards and a nomination for a Grammy Award.
Basket of Light is the most progressive release by the British folk-rock group Pentangle. Traditional English folk songs are reinterpreted with a mix of jazz, pop and rock influences. The album opener “Light Flight” has become their signature song, which was also the theme song from BBC1's first colour drama series Take Three Girls. With Basket Of Light, Pentangle proved they could release a progressive, ground-breaking work without keyboards, much studio trickery or even electric instruments.
