Ladies and Gentlemen...6 classic Emerson, Lake & Palmer albums to be released on Music On Vinyl!
English progressive rock supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer -also known as ELP- found huge success in the seventies selling over forty million albums and headlining large stadium concerts. The band consisted of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass guitar, vocals, guitar) and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion) who from the start focused on combining classical pieces with rock music.WAVE 1 - April 11th :Music On Vinyl will release their first three studio albums 'ELP' (1970), 'Tarkus' (1971) and 'Trilogy' (1972) as well as their first live-album 'Pictures At An Exhibition' (1971) on 180-grams vinyl on April 11th .The latter is an interpretation of Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky's classical suite work of the same name. 'Tarkus', 'Trilogy' and 'Pictures...' will be released in a beautiful gatefold sleeve.WAVE 2 - April 25th :At the end of April we'll put out 2 more ELP classics; their fourth studio album 'Brain Salad Surgery' (1973) and their second live album 'Welcome Back, My Friends, to the Show That Never Ends...Ladies and Gentlemen'(1974).'Brain Salad Surgery' will come in a beautiful die-cut sleeve designed by the famous H.R. Giger, including a die-cut poster.
'Welcome Back, My Friends ...' will be released as a three-disk vinyl album in a triple gatefold cover, the inside of which uses the letters 'E', 'L' and 'P' as retainers for the individual disks.How about that for over-the-top prog-rock sleeves!Both 'Brain Salad Surgery' and 'Welcome Back, My Friends...' will be limited to 1000 copies!
