Son Volt's second album 'Straightaways' featured an alternative rock sound and created an established popularity within its genre. Now the record is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on turquoise coloured vinyl.
Then we have three fantastic Dutch records:
Delain's April Rain is an album that belongs in the collection of every symphonic metal fan. Now, 'April Rain' is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on smoke coloured vinyl, including an insert!
'For Bitter Or Worse' is the sixth album of Anouk and was originally released in 2009. The album charted in both The Netherlands (#1 album charts) and Belgium (#2 album charts). Now it's available on coloured vinyl (gold!) for the first time as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies.
'Parts', the second studio album of Brainbox, is now released as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on yellow vinyl. The album was originally released in 1972 and has a completely different sound compared to their first album, due to the fact that it featured none of the original Brainbox members.
Finally, Dog Eat Dog's 'All Boro Kings', 'I Am Not A Doctor' from Moloko and our own 'Behind The Dykes 1: Beat, Blues and Psychedelic Nuggets From the Lowlands' are available on black vinyl.
Brainbox is a Dutch progressive rock and jazz fusion group from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Parts is their second studio album, released in 1972, and featured none of the original Brainbox members. As a result, the new Brainbox sounded more progressive than ever on Parts, as the band explored new sounds.
Noise in the City is a new live album by the British sample pioneers The Art of Noise. Released 35 years after the band first played in Japan, the album contains a complete concert from Tokyo's Nihon Seinenkan recorded in August 1986.
Dutch singer Anouk released her sixth studio album For Bitter or Worse in September 2009. Its release was preceded by lead single “Three Days in a Row”, an epic blues rock ballad in which Anouk sings she has loved someone for three days, after which she has never seen him again but she's still sure they will continue their love story.
Dog Eat Dog is an American band founded in Bergen County, New Jersey. All Boro Kings is their first full-length album, released in 1994. It is the first time they brought their trademark saxophone sound to the foreground on singles like “If These Are Good Times, “Who's The King” and “No Fronts”, of which the latter two became their biggest hits and received heavy rotation on MTV.
Delain are a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 2002. The second album, April Rain, was released in 2009 to critical acclaim within the rock and metal scene. The album features guest contributions by cellist Maria Ahn and Nightwish vocalist and bassist Marko Hietala. Three singles were released: “April Rain”, “Stay Forever” and “Nothing Left”.
Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy is the second album by the electropunk band Mindless Self Indulgence. The album contains 30 songs which are ranked by their title, including some fascinating ones like “Bitches”, “Dicks Are For My Friends”, “Holy Shit” and “Royally Fucked”.
Behind The Dykes is a 2LP compilation presenting the best bands and artists the Dutch had to offer in the period 1964-1972. The Netherlands was the first non-English speaking country to storm the Billboard Hot 100 with a string of hit singles from bands such as Shocking Blue, Focus, George Baker Selection, Golden Earring, and Tee-Set.
Motown Collected brings together the biggest names in the rich history of this legendary label. From very early singles to the artists that made Motown a household name for decades to come and the cross-over pop success of the late 70's and 80's. Featuring legendary artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Jackson Five, Smokey Robinson and The Commodores, as well as gems from the likes of Marv Johnson, Barrett Strong, The Marvelettes and Tom Clay and pop superstars Rick James, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and Debarge: just a selection of the 33 incredible tracks featured on Motown Collected.
I Am Not A Doctor is the successor of Moloko's first album Do You Like My Tight Sweater? The duo experimented with their earlier sound and combined it with drum and bass and synthpop. Although it was not a big seller the single "Sing It Back" experienced chart success after it was remixed by DJ Boris Dlugosch.
Straightaways is the second album by the American rock band Son Volt. It was released on April 22, 1997. The group was formed by Jay Farrar after his previous band Uncle Tupelo broke up.
