Hold it Down until the Bail is Set

Batmobile, Das EFX, Gilby Clarke, Dolly Parton, Jaco Pastorius and the Taxi Driver soundtrack

Batmobile's Bail was set at $ 6.000.000 is an album for which they recorded a sound that was more fitting to the live music of the late '80s. While focusing on the guitar Batmobile created a slightly 'heavier' sound than they recorded before. Bail was set at $ 6.000.000 is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on yellow colored vinyl. Hold It Down can be seen as the rebirth of Das EFX. It's an underrated classic but it is one of the finer albums from the golden age of hip hop. The release is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on green marbled (solid blue, yellow & red mixed) colored vinyl. Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke released his debut solo album Pawnshop Guitars 25 years ago. This lost classic contains some of his best songs, including the energetic rocking title track and The Rolling Stones cover "Dead Flowers", featuring Axl Rose on vocals. This first time on vinyl release is available as a limited first pressing of 1000 individually numbered copies on transparent red vinyl.

Blue Smoke reflects the character of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee where Dolly Parton grew up. The majority of the songs are Dolly's own, but she has also recorded versions of Bon Jovi's "Lay Your Hands on Me" and Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" to round out the collection. Blue Smoke is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on blue smoked (transparent blue & black mixed) vinyl. Jaco Pastorius was widely acknowledged for his skills as an electric bass player. The self-titled album was Pastorius' solo debut and was originally released in 1976. The record is available as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on silver vinyl. You talkin' to ME?'; undeniably one of the most famous quotes from movie history and from one of its most memorable characters. Bernard Hermann's Taxi Driver score swings back and forth, to amplify the mental state of the film's main character Travis Bickle. This release is available as a limited edition of 2500 individually numbered copies on yellow vinyl.

JACO PASTORIUS - JACO PASTORIUS

Jaco Pastorius was widely acknowledged for his skills as an electric bass player. This self-titled album was Pastorius' solo debut and was originally released in 1976. The bass pieces are excellent and a good showcase of how skilful and talented Jaco was.

BATMOBILE - BAIL WAS SET AT $6,000,000

With Bail Was Set at $6,000,000 Batmobile was looking for a sound that was more fitting to the live sound of that moment, something they always did when recording an album. The main difference with the previous albums was that they put more emphasis on the guitar, which led to a slightly heavier sound than Batmobile had before. The album itself contains songs that became long time live favorites such as “Kiss Me Now”, “Calamity Man” and the Motörhead cover “Ace of Spades”.

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK - TAXI DRIVER (BERNARD HERMANN)

Bernard Hermann's score is comprised primarily of a brass section mixing with a saxophone theme. The music swings back and forth, to amplify Travis' deteriorating mental state. Layered atop the two key components are harps, woodwinds, and even noises of the city, like a nearby drum kit or the music of a theater.

DOLLY PARTON - BLUE SMOKE

Iconic singer, songwriter, musician, actress and philanthropist Dolly Parton released her studio album Blue Smoke in 2014.
