Gato Negro 's Story

Todd Rundgren, Ry Cooder, Tommy McCook and the Supersonics, 7 Year Bitch, Blue Öyster Cult and the soundtrack of When Harry Met Sally...

Music On Vinyl presents The A Wizard, A True Star series, which brings the listener back to Todd Rundgren's heyday and the fantastic albums he recorded between 1970-1980. Runt features the single "We Gotta Get You a Woman", which reached number 20 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1971. His third album Something / Anything? showcased how he managed to play all instruments on three sides of the record and produced the whole record as well. The album peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and the single "Hello It's Me" was a top-five hit in the US. Both titles will be available as limited editions on coloured vinyl. Something / Anything? Includes an 8-page folded insert and Runt a standard insert.

Ry Cooder's third album Boomer's Story is heavily influenced by the old masters of blues, folk and Americana music. Cooder covers songs by Skip James, Carson Robison, and Dan Penn. All tracks are handled with the right amount of respect to the original recordings. This title is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on silver vinyl. Backing all the tracks on the Greatest Jamaican Beat LP are Tommy McCook and the Supersonics, the original Rock Steady Band. Tommy, on tenor sax, is one of Jamaica's greatest musicians, and his arrangements on this and other records, as well as his superb solo work are evidence of this fact. Thanks to the artists, musicians, engineers, and the producer, Duke Reid—here is Rock Steady at its best. It's available as a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on orange coloured vinyl. Gato Negro is the final album by the American punk rock band 7 Year Bitch. It got the heavy and slow bass lines, fuzzy guitar, and the characteristic angry vocals by Selene Vigil. Gato Negro is available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on moss green vinyl.

Blue Öyster Cult is the eponymous debut album by the American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult. The album features songs such as "Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll", "Stairway to the Stars", and "Then Came the Last Days of May", all of which the band still plays regularly during its concerts. Now available as a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on transparent blue vinyl. The soundtrack for one of the biggest Hollywood successes of the '80s, When Harry Met Sally..., consists of standards performed by singer and pianist Harry Connick Jr, with a big band and orchestra arranged by Marc Shaiman.
