Face the Moon Landing
Santana, Sivert Høyem, Jeff Beck, Madball, Golden Earring, Testament and Group 1850
Let's start this newsletter with the release of Santana's tenth studio album Marathon. The album marked the beginning of the group's commercial side and includes the single "You Know That I Love You". The Norwegian musician Sivert Høyem became famous as frontman of the alternative rock band Madrugada. He released his second solo album Exiles in 2006, together with the backing band The Volunteers. Three years later he released his studio album Moon Landing. Both releases are available as limited editions of 1.000 Individually numbered copies on silver (Exiles) and white (Moon Landing) coloured vinyl.
One of the most influential lead guitarists in rock, Jeff Beck, released his fifth studio album Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop in 1989. He recorded the album together with Terry Bozzio and Tony Hymas. They won the award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 1990 Grammys. The first pressing of Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop is available as 1.000 individually numbered copies on transparent blue coloured vinyl. Look My Way is the third studio album by the hardcore band Madball. The overall power of the music is heavy and in balance with the depth of the lyrics. Look My Way is available as a limited edition of 1.500 Individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl. During their acoustic touring in 1994 the Golden Earring recorded the album Face It. The album consists of a surprisingly fresh and versatile collection of songs. The Face It package includes an insert and the album is available as a first pressing of 1.500 individually numbered copies on transparent red vinyl.
Low was the first Testament release that didn't feature two of its founding members, Alex Skolnick (guitar) and Louie Clemente (drums). But even without their company they created a true masterpiece. Low is available as a limited edition of 1.500 individually numbered copies on coloured (solid orange & yellow mixed) vinyl. The Dutch psychedelic rock band Group 1850 was founded in 1964 in The Hague. The band evolved to an acid rock band and now years after their split they can be considered one of the most innovative bands from that era. Agemo's Trip to Mother Earth is available as a limited pressing of 500 individually numbered copies on transparent green coloured vinyl.

Former Madrugada frontman Sivert Høyem released his second solo album Exiles together with the backing band The Volunteers. The 2006 album got some brightening sounds compared to the more dark moods from Madrugada.
