Wiseblood is one of the most well-known Corrosion of Conformity albums. Their 5th full length release, peaked at #104 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart in the US in 1996. The history of Corrosion of Conformity in modern heavy music is highly significant, not least due to Pepper Keenan's formation of Down along with Pantera's Philip Anselmo, leaders of the New Orleans NOLA scene.
Before Ministry created their influential breakthrough album, The Land of Rape and Honey, there was Twitch. Originally released in 1986, their second album Twitch stepped away from the Pop-oriented form of their debut album With Sympathy and moved toward a darker, more aggressive sound in the form of the EBM genre.
Magnum emerged from the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) movement to a band where hard rock is mixed with prog influences. Their third album Chase The Dragon is a cult classic, which reached the Top 20 in the UK charts.
In 1968 the first hit record of Status Quo "Pictures of Matchstick Men" was released and the debut album soon followed. Sweet and breezy, light and jazzy, with plenty of warm touches - and one of the only albums ever releases by Edson Fredrico. Edson Frederico E A Transa features Frederico working with arrangements by Luiz Eca and Durval Ferreira, done with light percussion touches, plenty of keyboards, and some of the warm fusion phrasing of the mid 70s Brazilian scene.
Swedish rockers The Wannadies returned in 1999 after an absence of three years with their album Yeah. It expanded the band's sound by leaning towards electronica music and including some groovy melodies in their sound. The energy they've gathered the last couple of years before this release proved to be more than enough to make another great record.
After The Stone Roses disbanded in 1996, frontman Ian Brown started recording music under his own name. In 1998 he released his debut solo album Unfinished Monkey Business.
