Back in the House

Etta James, Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers, Prong, Ministry, Metal Church, and the soundtracks Tolkien and Brightburn

Etta James was 63 when Burnin' Down The House was recorded at the House of Blues, December 2001. Vocally she's still at the top of her abilities on the record. This album is now available on vinyl for the first time and the 2LP package contains an insert. Back in Your Life was released in 1979 under the Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers moniker. It's a very pleasant album, where Jonathan brings his melancholy mood to the quiet and reflective songs. This release is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl.

For all the soundtracks lovers we got two brand new titles from our At The Movies label. Tolkien explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. Thomas Newman (Skyfall, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Six Feet Under) composed the soundtrack to this wonderful movie. This is a limited edition of 500 numbered copies on gold & black marbled vinyl. The LP package contains a 4-page booklet with images, credits and an introduction/prologue by Dome Karukoski, the director of Tolkien. Brightburn is a 2019 American superhero horror film directed by David Yarovesky and produced by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy). The score is created by Timothy Williams, a multi-award-winning English/Canadian composer, best known for his work on Get Out, Deadpool, and Guardians of the Galaxy. This exclusive and extremely limited fan edition contains an “Earth Day” fold-out poster with alternative artwork and a 4-page booklet with credits and cool movie pics. Only 666 individually numbered copies on blood-red vinyl are available. In celebration of this release, we're giving away a copy of the coloured edition + the labels. All you need to do is go to our Facebook/Twitter/Instagram page and follow the details in the post about this contest. You can participate until August 11th, and the winner will receive a private message the next day.
