JERRY CANTRELL - DEGRADATION TRIP

Let's go for a Degradation Trip this weekend with this first time on vinyl release by Jerry Cantrell!

One of the defining guitarists of the 90's was Jerry Cantrell. His guitar workdefined the unique grungy sound of Alice in Chains, and he was the group's main lyricist.

Degradation Trip is his second solo album and was originally released in 2002. On the album, Cantrell enlisted drummer Mike Bordin (Faith No More) and bassist Robert Trujillo (Metallica) for some grungy heaviness. The album was dedicated to Alice in Chains lead singer Layne Staley, who sadly died two months prior to this release in 2002.

Degradation Trip featured the two singles "Anger Rising" and "Angel Eyes", and was well received by critics bearing strong resemblance to his work in Alice in Chains.

Available on vinyl for the first time, with a nice 4 page booklet the first 1.500 numbered copies are pressed on transparent green vinyl! Visit our store locator to find a store nearby and preorder.

JERRY CANTRELL - DEGRADATION TRIP

Jerry Cantrell is an American musician who is best known as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist and main songwriter for the rock band Alice in Chains. He also has a solo career and released the albums Boggy Depot in 1998 and Degradation Trip in 2002.

The album's grungy heaviness is balanced, however, by moody acoustic ballads such as the somber "Angel Eyes". Serene, tangy guitar riffs featured in the likes of "Gone" elude more to Cantrell's Southern roots.
