Some of you may know I’m a devoted James Newton Howard fan when it comes to movie scores. That does not mean I don’t listen to other composers as well. I do. Movie scores have always been a huge part of my musical life, probably because I’ve been a huge movie fan all my life as well. But one that stands out, as both one of my favourite movies and favourite soundtracks, is Interstellar by Hans Zimmer. Simple and melancholic but also powerful and stunning. This album.. Ah so many memories back in the days. If I need to describe Mew's music in one word, I would say cute. Beautiful melodies and great songs where melancholic mood finds happiness. I've seen them live couple of years ago and I felt so nostalgic and happy in the middle of the crowd haha. “And The Glass Handed Kites” was originally released in 19th of September (I like the date haha) 2005. My version is 15th anniversary expanded edition and RSD2020 release.
