Lounge is the third in a series of five double vinyl releases that bring together some of Ennio Morricone's greatest soundtrack music. This collection is not about a specific genre of music for film, it is a celebration of Lounge style pieces by Morricone that are capable of evoking in the listener thoughts of easy living, sophistication, romantic moods, and the excitement of a 1950s cocktail lounge or a 1960s nightclub.

Lounge is available as a limited edition of 3000 individually numbered copies on solid orange vinyl. The package includes a 4-page insert with liner notes written by Claudio Fuiano.

SIDE A: 1 - ALLEGRETTO FOR A LADY FROM “LE FOTO PROIBITE DI UNA SIGNORA PERBENE”

Morricone wrote this danceable organ and percussion theme for Le Foto Proibite di Una Signora Perbene (Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion), a movie directed by Luciano Ercoli and starring Dagmar Lassander and Nieves Navarro. An upbeat Hammond groove ideally suited to the mood of the film and a perfect example of a groovy lounge tune from 1970!

SIDE D: 1 - THE ALIBI / L'ALIBI (SHAKE N° 3) FROM “L'ALIBI”

The Shake theme was repeated and adapted several times in the duration of the soundtrack to the film L'Alibi. Here Shake N° 3 brilliantly breaks the atmosphere of alienation of the movie's protagonists Adolfo Celi and Luciano Lucignani. Perfectly in synch with the Mediterranean night club style of the late 60s, here we have a compelling combination of beat band and vocal harmonies.
