Santana's tenth studio album Marathon marked the beginning of the group's commercial slide. The single "You Know That I Love You" reached no.35 on the Billboard Hot 100. It consisting entirely of band-written music. The music direction got many influences from the melodic rock, which gained more popularity by the end of the '70s. With some incredible guitar solos by the master Carlos Santana himself and Alex Ligertwood's fine vocals it's another versatile piece from the band. The Marathon package includes an insert.

Santana gained public attention by appearing at the Woodstock festival in 1969. The Latin influence has always been an important part in their music, although the band also created some blues rock and pop classics. Even after all those years Santana is still actively performing.
