The debut album See You in Hell from New Wave of British Heavy Metal stalwarts Grim Reaper was originally released in Europe in 1983, with the rest of the world following a year later. The album is a perfect example of the way Heavy Metal guitar lines and vocals are blended together in consistently strong tracks. It's a keeper in which the band is kicking hard, but also got some lighter moments, for example in the track "The Show Must Go On". When the heavy metal riffage got them knocking on your door they're reaching out for their most effective songs, like "Dead on Arrival" and title song "See You in Hell". With their dynamics and rhythms they created on of their finest albums. Naturally, a band wearing leather and album artwork depicting 'satanic' imagery also received what is nowadays laughable allegations of demon-worship. Sadly, we can assure you there are no hidden messages in this album if you play it backwards….
