In the 1950s there was a wild fusion music that shocked the world and laid the groundwork for rock & roll: it was called rockabilly.
A mutant variant of country music (then often referred to as hillbilly), raw and laced with the electricity of the blues and the romp of boogie woogie, it was the sound that gave birth to Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins's careers.
After an earlier release of the 'Whistle Bait' (MOVLP253) collection on Music on Vinyl now is the time for 'Ain't I'm a Dog': another well chosen collection of 25 rockabilly rave-ups from the 50's and early 60's.
Music on Vinyl has given this superb collection the treatment which it deserves.
The 2LP album comes with a beautiful gatefold sleeve, designed by Coop and a pretty etch on Side D of the album.
On top of that the first 500 copies of the album will be printed on colored vinyl; one pink and one purple!
