"In A Silent Way" is regarded as the first of Miles' fusion albums which was only the highway to deliver one of the Jazz History masterpieces, Bitches Brew. "In A Silent Way" featured a full-blown electric approach: An album which ís kicking categories of music to the curb and owes much of its essence to rock improvisers like John McLaughlin -a newcomer at the time- and to pianists Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.
'Space Music' some said, but Miles only was just going his way as always. Free jams with hardly any no structure but still so sustained that they speak volumes about the sensitivity of the musicians involved.
