I'm thrilled to see so many great albums on vinyl but lack information about the sources you're using. Are you using analogue or digital masters for the Sony vinyl reissues? If you're transferring cd-masters to vinyl I might as well look for used (and true analogue) copies of the albums.

We are provided with the best possible (analogue) masters available. On top of that, our sound engineer has over 35 years of experience in cutting and mastering records for (major) labels. We do our utmost to release the best quality.

So you're confirming that analogue masters are used for all these releases?
Can you also confirm where they are pressed...is it Pallas?
Who is it doing the cutting?
Thanks, answering these questions goes a long way to getting vinyl fans to open their wallets, I will.

Thank you very much for re-release some good vinyls. I´m collecting since 1972 but sold a lot when cd´s came up (I know, stupid behaviour). Spent too much money at ebay to buy some again. Bought your Alice In Chains and Rage Against Machine which I missed in the 90ties. I was surprised when I listened to the very good prints!!! A lot of new vinyls are very bad manufactured. So, you have one more guy who will buy your goods.

I bought the Alice, the Rage and The Jeff Buckley's grace and I was very happy to discover them in such a good condition. It was a good surprise because I was afraid when I saw that it was reissues (I didn't knew it when I bought it on teh bay).
I'll keep an eye on this site :)

Guys, I am THE Vinyl importer in South Africa, and am local agent for MOFI,CLASSIC etc, and I have personally done A/B comparisons on my AVID SEQUEL/SME4/BENZ EBONY LPS Table of the MOV versions of BOSTON and GRACE with the UK original(Boston), and 10th anniversary edition(GRACE), Simply Vinyl(Grace), and US LEGACY version(Boston).The MOV versions of both these LPs is faithful in the extreme to the original master tape and this MOV version of GRACE is the best so far, what's more the pressings are nice and quiet.Good job MOV!

Um...if you compared it to those copies then how do you know it is faithful to the original master tape? I don't see you listing the original master tape in your comparisons nor would I know how you had access to listen to it.

I know these vinyls are Limited, but how many were pressed? and do you press the same amount on each vinyl release? Just curious, would be cool to know! =)

Steve, get over yourself and read my comments carefully, better yet leave vinyl alone and start collecting master tapes.

I've read them carefully Mark and suggesting I "leave vinyl alone" is one of the silliest responses I think anyone could have come up with - after several more careful readings I still don't see how you can asses the quality compared to the original master tape. You've said you're THE vinyl importer in South Africa, not part of Andy Wallace's production team or Howie Weinberg's mastering team or one of Jeff's family or friends.
Don't know why you made the comparison - you should expect as much in response from anyone on any AV forum.

Steve - I totally agree with you.

I've bought Simon & Garfunkel; Bridge over Troubled Water and it sounds great on my system. Is it possible to mention the source (digital hi rez/analog/which master?) with each album on your site? In the case of Bridge over Troubled Water I got the impression its a remaster of a digital source (looking at all the copyright-notices on the sleeve), am I right?
