THE SECOND BATCH OF NOVEMBER RELEASES HAS ARRIVED

It's getting colder and colder outside, so it's time to light up the fireplace, have a glass of wine and put the needle on one of these classic albums.

MARVIN GAYE – I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE (1LP) – MOVLP448
Formerly known as 'In The Groove', this album was re-named after the hit "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" became one of the biggest hits in 1968. The album and its title track are both considered as Gaye's commercial breakthrough.

TOM WAITS – RAIN DOGS (1LP) – MOVLP393
Rain Dogs is praised for its broad spectrum of musical styles and genres and is generally considered the middle album of a trilogy that includes 'Swordfishtrombones' and 'Franks Wild Years'. On this album Waits collaborates with Marc Ribot and Keith Richards.

NINA HAGEN BAND – NINA HAGEN BAND (1LP) – MOVLP458
The album includes the single 'TV-Glotzer', a cover of 'White Punks on Dope' by The Tubes but with completely different lyrics in German. This release is completely remastered using the original analogue tapes. It includes a printed innersleeve and an insert.

Tony Bennett became very successful with his repertoire of popular music, standards, show tunes, and jazz. The 1962 ´I Left My Heart in San Francisco´ is one of the best-selling albums of Bennett's career. It includes the song ´I Left My Heart in San Francisco´.

TONY BENNETT – THE MOVIE SONG ALBUM (1LP) – MOVLP389
'The Movie Song Album´ is a 1966 studio album that consists of songs from films, opening with the theme from The Oscar. Bennett described the album in his autobiography as his "all time favorite record". Among the arranger and conductors were none other than Neal Hefti and Quincy Jones.

Pop Will Eat Itself, was originally formed in 1986 and became one of the most well-known Grebo-acts in the industry. In 1994 they released their last album and they split up in 1996. This album perfectly reflects theNew York of the early '80s. It crept to the number 4 position on the American and number 3 in the British charts, and eventually went gold. This is the first vinyl edition since 1985 and it comes in a gatefold sleeve!

Smart, sophisticated, and timelessly stylish, 'Steve McQueen' is somewhat of a Classic, a shimmering jazz-pop masterpiece. In theUnited Statesthe album was released under the title 'Two Wheels Good' due to a legal conflict with the estate of American actor Steve McQueen. This release includes an insert.

ALEXANDER "SKIP" SPENCE - OAR (1LP) – MOVLP435

As the urban myth goes, on the day of his release he drove a motorcycle, dressed in only his pyjamas, directly toNashville to record this album in seven days, playing all the instruments himself and that the end result is now considered to be a classic psychedelic folk album. After this album Spence quit music.
