First of all, I am sorry for my very bad english but what about a limited edition reissue of ELECTRIC LADYLAND with tue original cover? The one with the naked ladies holding photograph of Jimi Hendrix?

Just a quick answer to Francesco. Many many fans would like to see the reissue of the naked women !! First of all, this famous cover was only released in UK in 1968 and Jimi Hendrix never gave any instruction about it. He was not at all informed and did not like the cover anyway ! This LP cover (with the 19 suggestive ladies) was censured in UK (sold in a black cover card instead !). I think there is NO chance at all Experience Hendrix LLC (the company owned by half sister Janie Hendrix) release this (great) cover again. Too bad really !

@ Francesco & Yazid, as much as we would love to release this version, I'm afraid that there is no chance of doing this. Like you said, Jimi Hendrix didn't like the cover and it was banned shortly after its original release...

What a shame, and like Yazid said, too bad...
Ok, what about a little answer about the other question ( Donna Summer ) even if I think is the same as Jimi's naked ladies cover...no way, right? I know it's not like the one of the guy that asks about Britney Spears vinyl records but I hope there is a possibility to see it in the store again one day, like the best Clash and Springsteen records!

Yazid - not sure what you say about Electric Ladyland is right. It was first issued in the UK on Track but I have a copy on Polydor - with the naked ladies - that I bought in the early 1970s whose matrix number suggests it is a second pressing. So, at least 3 editions of this record - with the offending cover - have been released. Don't believe it was censored in the UK. Have never seen a copy with the black card cover to which you refer.

Message for Andrew. I read several times the 1st Electric Ladyland cover was censored but I may be wrong with the word "censored". May be not officially censored but some records shops were reluctant to sell it with the cover and covered it ! For sure these naked women were not very welcome by UK sellers.
