CAROLE KING ALBUMS AVAILABLE ON VINYL

Two classic Carole King albums available on vinyl for the first time and four classic, sought after albums will be available soon!


Singer/songwriter Carole King recently turned 75. For over the past 50 years, she has become an inspiration to millions of people around the globe. Mainly because of her classic album "Tapestry", but besides that timeless album, she has recorded and released many more amazing and personal albums throughout the years.

Carole King is the most successful female songwriter of the 20th century, having written or co-written 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1955 and 1999. She also wrote 61 hits that charted in the UK, making her the most successful female songwriter on the UK singles charts between 1952 and 2005. She has won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her songwriting. Carole King is the recipient of the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the first woman to be honored this way.

The latest vinyl is The Living Room Tour. A live album, originally released in 2005. It consists of recordings of most of the songs from the album Tapestry. Her daughters Louise and Sherry and background singer and guitarist Gary Burr joined her on several songs. This album debuted at #17 in the US, becoming King's highest-charting album since 1977.

The album Pearls by Carole King is a collection of brilliant pop music and widely recognized as her best work since Tapestry. The album features 10 songs originally written by Carole King with her ex-husband Gerry Goffin. Welcome Home by Carole King was originally released in 1978. This was an emotional time for Carole King as her husband Rick Evers, who co-wrote some of the lyrics on the album, died, shortly after this album was recorded.

CAROLE KING - TOUCH THE SKY
Touch The Sky by Carole King was released in 1979. The country-tinged sound is much earthier than Simple Things and Welcome Home. Carole King is more contemplative in voice and melancholic, no doubt due to the death of her third husband, Rick Evers, earlier in the year. The personal loss is best felt in the song "Dreamlike I Wander".
