On The Neptunes Present...Clones (2003), Chad Hugo and Pharell Williams (aka The Neptunes) snare an all-star cast of featured players, and they ably demonstrate how their skills can adapt to any conceivable personality. The album features four singles; "Frontin'" by Pharrell ft. Jay-Z, "Light Your Ass On Fire" by Busta Rhymes, "Hot Damn" by Clipse and "It Blows My Mind" by Snoop Dogg.

Williams steps out with some help from Jay-Z on "Frontin'," one of the biggest Neptunes-related singles. The funky "Light Your Ass on Fire" features Busta Rhymes' more sexually aggressive and explicit come-ons. Amidst whirling sirens, Dirt McGirt's turn, "Pop Shit," boasts a comical Looney Tunes-worthy arrangement. "Popular Thug," originally a track on Kelis' Wanderland, gets a deserved new look, with Pusha T's role bumped in favor of Nas.

The album debuted at number One on the US Billboard 200 Chart, and ultimately sold over half a million copies in the US, certifying Gold in the process.
